NOVEMBER 22
This year, on November 22, as part of Samaritan's Purses Operation Christmas Child shoebox program we are hosting a packing party.
Why Are We Packing Shoeboxes?
Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide and opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.
Each shoebox gift represents an opportunity for a boy or girl to encounter Jesus Christ and share Him with their family and community. We are looking to pack as many quality boxes as we can by having you bring in new items to pack in them. We want to fill shoeboxes with items that will last. Think about the young people in your lifeāpack items you feel they would enjoy. We are packing boxes for children, 10-14 years of age.
Take a look at the gift suggestion pages AND consider bringing in an item from each of the 6 sections. This will ensure that we are not all buying the same items.
Donations for Shoeboxes
A donation of $12 per box is critical to cover shipping and other project costs. A box will be out every Friday leading up the the party where you can make a donation. Your generosity will help cover project costs--including shipping.
